Department of Pediatrics
Division of Immunology, Allergy and Infectious Disease
The Pediatric Allergy and Immunology division provides consultation for children and young adults with allergies or immune disorders. Patients may be referred on either an outpatient or inpatient basis.
Patients are evaluated and treated for the episode or followed as necessary, with referral back to their treating physicians, depending on their conditions.
The Pediatric Infectious Disease division provides outpatient and inpatient consultation for children with diagnostic or therapeutic problems thought to be infectious in origin, including but not limited to the following: fever of unknown origin, pneumonia, lymphadenopathy, mononucleosis syndromes, congenital and perinatal infections, Lyme disease and tuberculosis.The faculty have particular expertise in unusual infections, including those in the immuno-compromised.
